Muchos pa\u00edses han implementado los programas de screening neonatal en sus servicios nacionales de salud.<\/p>\n<p>Iniciado en 1994, el Programa de<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanidad.gob.es\/profesionales\/saludPublica\/prevPromocion\/maternoInfantil\/Hipoacusia.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\"> Detecci\u00f3n Precoz de la Hipoacusia<\/a> fue aprobado en 2003 por el Consejo Interterritorial del SNS, quedando definitivamente implantado en todas las comunidades aut\u00f3nomas en 2010. Actualmente se ofrece a todos los reci\u00e9n nacidos en Espa\u00f1a, generalmente en el hospital de nacimiento y antes del alta hospitalaria.<\/p>\n<p>Como consecuencia, la detecci\u00f3n temprana tambi\u00e9n conlleva un tratamiento temprano y el uso de sistemas auditivos apropiados.<\/p>\n<p>Para los ni\u00f1os nacidos con una discapacidad auditiva de severa a profunda, la intervenci\u00f3n temprana con implantes cocleares (IC) es muy importante, lo que nos lleva a mejores resultados en el habla y el lenguaje, la audici\u00f3n y el desarrollo auditivo natural. Esto es debido a la alta plasticidad del cerebro a esa edad.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>M\u00e1s peque\u00f1o, m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido. mejor<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los continuos avances en la tecnolog\u00eda del implante coclear y las t\u00e9cnicas quir\u00fargicas como la facilidad en la fijaci\u00f3n del implante, la monitorizaci\u00f3n del nervio facial as\u00ed como la cirug\u00eda m\u00ednimamente invasiva, han hecho que las cirug\u00edas de implantaci\u00f3n sean m\u00e1s cortas y seguras.<\/p>\n<p>En ni\u00f1os con hipoacusia cong\u00e9nita, la implantaci\u00f3n coclear antes de los 12 meses de edad ofrece la posibilidad de desarrollar habilidades ling\u00fc\u00edsticas casi normales. La rehabilitaci\u00f3n auditiva y las sesiones de programaci\u00f3n regular del procesador, especialmente en el primer a\u00f1o de uso del IC, son el secreto del \u00e9xito con el dispositivo.<\/p>\n<p>Si una discapacidad auditiva se manifiesta en una etapa posterior debido a la p\u00e9rdida progresiva, enfermedad o accidente, la meta es mantener la duraci\u00f3n de la hipoacusia el menor tiempo posible.
