Indications:
- Partial sensorineural hearing loss
- Sloping high-frequency hearing loss from approx. 1500 Hz (air conduction) - see red area in chart
- ≤60% monosyllables at 65dB SPL and optimal acoustic amplification
- Air-bone gap not >15dB
- Realistic expectations
Contraindications:
- Progressive hearing loss
- Malformation or blockage in the cochlea
- Otosclerosis, ossification or similar contraindication in outer ear
